PeninsulaTeaParty.org is to be tool to share ideas, discuss issues, communicate, share events, to ask for and to give support to fellow citizens to solve problems that are too important to leave in the hands of government. We will not regulate or dictate the content of these discussions but expect everyone to be civil and respectful of others rights.
WEBSITE IMPROVEMENTS:
We are working to organize PeninsulaTeaParty.org website and online services to better serve members of Peninsula Tea Party and all the citizens of Virginia's peninsula. The basic organization of the information posting will be divided into local state and federal issues.
We are working on setting up filters to allow information that is emailed in to us to immediately get posted to the appropriate blog. Now it's up to you. Go to the page for your local city or county and to all of the other areas of this site that you would like to keep up on, and then click on the follow box under "Get Connected." You have several options of how to sign in using a Google, Facebook, or Twitter account. (Let me know at alexanderofyork@peninsulateaparty.org if you would like another account that you can use in place of a Google account.)
GOOGLE MAY BE EVIL BUT DO NOT FEAR THE INTERNET:
You may have heard a lot of talk about the evils of Google or have issues with mailing lists. One way to avoid such issues is to take charge of making your own personal connections. It does not matter what kind of account you choose, Google, Facebook, Twitter and others all have their own weaknesses but if we are to compete with new media savvy progressive movement we have to get connected to the people and organizations we need to in order to take charge of our own government at every level. We must not fear doing our work in public, and leave no doubt the internet is public, but the progressive movement is no longer afraid of being public and open about their actions and intent to transform this nation. We must not shrink from duty to restore it. We can use the same tools that the progressives use but with one distinct advantage; truth! Ours is a goal of true liberty for the individual to be as he or she was created. It is undeniable that self governance is in our very nature. It is time for every citizen to recognize his or her own responsibility to be in control of government.

Get connected so you get emails, posts, or tweets or what ever works for you. Do not just rely on us or any other organization to inform you, lead you, or give you marching orders. This is about self governance. You must take the lead. We must do all we can to help each other regain our rightful position at the highest authority in all of government; citizen!
